Dear Friends,
In two days I leave for winter retreat, a sustained period of practice that will end in late February. Naturally, Ox Herding will be dark during this time. (It's been pretty quiet over the last few weeks, so perhaps this won't come as a surprise.)
Today's video (created for the Sigur Ros song, "Ekki múkk") evokes one aspect of a long period of silence. Of course, the upcoming retreat may not always be quiet, steady or beautiful. But that's okay, The days will pass. And practice will continue.
Thank you for reading Ox Herding. May you enjoy a wonderful winter!
Barry
I'll be thinking of you often. Looking forward to hearing from you next year!
