Beyond their parallel roles as radical innovators and influential modernists, would you see a particular connection between Cezanne's painting and Cunningham's choreography? Why Cezanne rather than, say, Picasso? Did Cunningham acknowledge a debt to Cezanne? Did you intuit it from the performance?
